The Sacred Pause — A Year-Long Journey

Sacred Pause is a free, self-guided Living Sacred Path program created and originally shared over the course of one year. Through reflections, meditations, intentional practices, and simple moments of pause, the journey invites you to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with the sacred woven into everyday life.

Each Sacred Pause offers something to explore — a reflection, question, practice, meditation, or gentle action designed to bring greater awareness to yourself, Spirit, and the world around you.

The complete year is now available for you to experience at your own pace. Begin with the first issue and move through the journey week by week, take more time when something speaks deeply to you, or simply return whenever you need a place to pause and reconnect.

And as the journey unfolds, something begins to shift: you move from following a Sacred Pause to creating your own. The final part of the program helps you draw from the practices you've experienced, choose what is asking for your attention, and begin creating personal reflections, meditations, rituals, and practices that reflect your own rhythms, needs, and spiritual life.

What You’ll Find in Each Sacred Pause

  • Moments of Reflection: Brief invitations into stillness, presence, self-inquiry, and inner listening.

  • Intentional Actions: Simple ways to bring awareness, meaning, and sacredness into ordinary life.

  • Sacred Connection: Themes that explore change, balance, clarity, courage, gratitude, grounding, self-love, awakening, and other dimensions of the spiritual journey.

  • Meditations and Practices: Guided meditations, creative prompts, contemplative practices, and simple rituals you can experience and make your own.

  • Creating Your Own Sacred Pause: As the year draws together, you'll learn how to use what you've experienced to create practices around the questions, transitions, and explorations arising in your own life.

Even in life’s busiest moments, you can always claim a breath to pause, reflect, and reconnect.

More Than a Newsletter — A Practice You Can Carry With You

Sacred Pause began as a weekly newsletter shared with a community of more than 600 readers, but the intention was always larger: to help you develop a way of pausing, listening, noticing, and reconnecting that could become part of your own life.

There is no schedule to keep and nothing to catch up on. Take the journey at the pace that feels right for you.

Create sacred moments that anchor you in the present.

Explore the natural rhythms and changing seasons of your life. Listen more closely to your own inner wisdom. And ultimately, discover what a Sacred Pause can become when you make the practice your own.
