This is a tough one, but I want you to take this in the complete context in which it is being said. The POWER OF SURRENDER does not mean giving up or throwing in the towel in the Creative Meditation and Manifestation practice — not even close.
Surrendering when manifesting means you are conceding to the way things are and giving way to a much more powerful force —Spirit. Instead of fighting and struggling to reach your goal, you’re handing it over to the Universe to guide you in the steps you need to take that are for your highest purpose.
This concept works closely (hand in hand) with the Power of Trust, Power of Allowing, and Power of Inspired Action. Surrendering is not you making something happen of you own volition — forcing something to happen — it’s about trusting and waiting for inspired action that will guide you on your path.
Why surrender? The more you struggle with involving yourself in the “how it will happen” and the “I’m going to make it happen” ideas, the more negative emotions you will have to deal with as your goals stall and sputter out.
By surrendering, you change the energy you are releasing by activating the Power of Surrender and releasing your goal to the Universe, trusting the best outcome will happen, and not forcing the outcome. Through this process, you’re activating your Power of Thought, Power of Emotion, Power of Trust, and Power of Belief. These four POWERS, when used together, let the Universe know that you are ready to surrender and allow things to happen as is best for you.
So how do you detach and surrender? How do you not worry about how to achieve your goals? The answer is simple, but the practice might not be. You need to find genuine areas of acceptance in the current life you have created, genuine joy in your life, genuine peace. You need to step back from all of the “I wants” and “I should have hads” and see the life you have already created for yourself. There are real bright spots in your life, right? Big things that if you didn’t have, you’d be so much worse off.
When you learn to find all glimmers of joy and happiness in your current life situation, you’ll find it much easier to surrender and wait for things to align. Amazing things can happen when you surrender — including your ability to move forward and watch for the synchronicities through the Power of Inspired Action. When you’re wringing your hands over your situation and sitting in a very negative place in your life, it’s hard to see those little inspired actions come forward. So be joyful in all of your blessings and you will attract more blessings.
The Universe works within its own timeframe. Surrender and let the Power of Inspired Action flow naturally to you. You’ve intented about your situation and brought your intentions through all of the POWERS. Now let the Universe work to align everything you need to reach your goal.
Surrender and let your beautiful life unfold.
Before you begin today’s activity, use your mindful coloring sheet (from previous blog) to bring you into a present state. Then begin your meditation practice as I’ve outlined the last few days.
Everyone has had experiences in small or large ways with having to surrender. Whether you’ve surrendered for a compromise with a loved one or a choice that you needed to make, we have all experienced surrendering to what we thought was the best thing to do.
With manifestation, we also need to surrender. It’s like holding your goals tightly in your hands, putting your hands into the air, unclenching your fists, and throwing your goal into the sky — knowing your goals will be caught by the Universe and handled.
For today’s CMM Activity, write four memorable times you have surrendered for what you believed to be the betterment of a situation, condition, or choice in your life.
This CMM activity will show you have the ability to surrender, and if you can surrender about the smaller issues in your life through compromise, then you surely can surrender to the larger goals and let the Universe help you sort it out.
Remember that today’s Power of Surrender Meditation is an extension from the previous days’ blogs -- so be sure to engage your Power of Intent, Power of Gratitude, Power of Sacred Space, Power of Meditation, Power of Mindfulness, Power of I AM, Power of Wording, Power of Journaling, Power of Thought, Power of Visualization, Power of Forgiveness, Power of Prayer, Power of Emotion, Power of Compassion, Power of Vibrational Frequency, Power of Belief, Power of Perception, and Power of Trust daily to bring your intangible intent (from Day 1 – Power of Intent) to fruition.
