SHAMANIC DIVINATION IN PRACTICE

The skilled practice of shamanic divination, the process of consulting our helping spirits for knowledge, is an essential aspect of shamanic healing and of bringing the wisdom of the helping spirits to bear on personal, local, and global issues. This workshop offers students opportunities to practice methods for contacting their compassionate spirit helpers, particularly through the shamanic journey, and to enhance their abilities to form on-topic questions and interpret the messages received. Participants will also experience classic shamanic ways to build and nurture strong relationships with their own spirits.

This experiential online training is offered via Zoom. Participants will see and hear each other and interact in pairs and small groups as well as in the full circle. All students **must participate** with audio/video and access the meeting through their own individual devices. Instructions for Zoom and workshop access will be provided after registration. The course consists of seven hours of training.

What You Need

 

Please bring the following items to the Zoom workshop:

​

  • notebook/pen to take notes

  • rattle

  • drum (optional)

  • eye covering (bandanna or mindfold) to block ambient light

  • a palm-sized rock (NOT a crystal), preferably one you found in nature

  • water

  • blanket if you tend to get cold easily

Before the workshop begins, select a private location where you will not be disturbed. Consider a comfortable chair or place to sit/lie down for journeys. You might also like to use headphones or ear buds for an easier listening experience (but these are not necessary). 

 

NOTE: The use of a laptop/desktop computer, or at minimum a tablet, is recommended for this workshop. A smart phone screen is too small for effectively viewing other participants during the direct healing practices. AC power is suggested. Please download the latest version of the Zoom app the day of the workshop so you can fully participate. Download participant instructions HERE, including audio/video settings.

7 Continuing Education Credits/Units

CE/CEUs have been accepted for FSS trainings by associations for RNs, therapists (such as MFT, LMFT), bodyworkers-massage therapists, social workers, hospice workers, and many others. You can verify CE/CEUs with your licensing agency by clicking HERE for more information.

Participant Requirements

The FSS requires participants to be 18 years of age or older.

Participant Cancellation

Please note the FSS requires a minimum number of participants to proceed with a workshop. A full refund is offered if cancellation is 30+ days before a workshop. For cancellations 14-29 days before a workshop,  participant will receive a refund less $25 cancellation fee. We can also discuss applying your fee to a future class.

Cancellation by FSS

The FSS reserves the right to cancel a workshop if necessary. If this happens, enrolled participants will be notified promptly and class fees refunded immediately.
