MONROE INSTITUTE -- AFFIRMATION

I am more than my physical body.

Because I am more than physical matter,
I can perceive that which is greater than
the physical world.

Therefore, I deeply desire to expand, to experience,
to know, to understand, to control, to use such greater energies and energy systems as may be beneficial and constructive to me and to those who follow me.

Also, I deeply desire the help and cooperation,
the assistance, the understanding of those
individuals whose wisdom, development,
and experience are equal or greater than my own.

I ask their guidance and protection from any
influence or any source that might provide me
with less than my stated desires.

The affirmation has three parts:

What we are: more than our physical bodies
What we desire: to explore, to know, to use greater energy
Requesting assistance and guidance from greater (or equal) sources of knowledge

Affirmation Importance

While working with the original Explorers team, Robert Monroe was led to create an affirmation to help further expand their consciousness state with the addition of audio frequencies. A strong intention created the environment for a more in-depth experience, dramatically increasing their encounters with higher energies. The affirmation became a type of "connection" or "bridge" to the gateway of other consciousness realities.

Creating Your Own Affirmation

To create your own consciousness exploration affirmation:

Know that you are more than your physical body.
State your clear intention about what you want to experience.
Ask for help, guidance, or assistance from beings with greater wisdom than available in your physical reality.
Ask for protection from lower vibration energies.
Create a short gratitude statement expressing thankfulness for assistance in expanding your consciousness.
